People,

I've had problems with spammers, but I've opened up the posting to new registrars again. Sorry for the inconvenience...

Two issues:

Can't seem to open a new issue
Can't seem to get started ;>

Perhaps I'm just being dim, but booting UDA14 into VMplayer gets me a raw command line (no problem, but no obvious way to bring up a browser as lynx doesn't seem to be provided) nor any way to mount the host filesystem(s) (so as to get at my ISO images).

No doubt there are documents, but I'm not spotting them. So please point me to the right FM so I can RT ;>

      Thanks in advance.

      Hi khb,
I've added you to the group that mey post new topics now. But to answer your question:

      The ultrashort version:
Point the browser on your system to the ip of the UDA:
      http://10.0.0.104
is the default. Use admin/admin to log in.

      The short version:
      http://www.vmware.com/appliances/directory/232

The long version by Mike Laverick (includes a downloadable PDF!):
      http://www.rtfm-ed.co.uk/?page_id=366

Just found out that Mike has done a lot of work on documenting the 2.0 beta as well! Great work Mike!

      Hi,

I am not able to open a new post so I will try it this way:

      Following problem:

It is not allowed to use the UDA DHCP server and the existing DHCP server points to another satelite server which installs the Windows systems. It is not possible to change this.

Is it possible to create a ISO which points to the UDA? Like I create a ISO which points to a http server where I have saved my kickstart files?

      Thanks!

      Hi to everybody,

i'm posting here because i can't create a new post in this forum.

      my problem is,

i've installed VMware and UDA and they works perfectly, but i'm trying to install Thinstation on UDA for booting thinstation on workstation over PXE.

      is it possible ?
if yes, anybody can send me the procedure for this ?

      thank's in advance

I would like access to post in the forum. I would like to ask a question about setting up UDA on Fedora instead of running it in VMware. There is one post in there about how to set it up but everything i download is a vmdk file which I am assuming is a VMware file.

      Thanks

      Greetings
      Just joined this forum.
What is the procedure for posting a new topic?
I did not see any links for that.
I need to ask forum a question of whether a UDA can be hosted in a Hyper-V virtual machine

Hi, is there a chance of posting to the forum?

I get the "the operating system you selected does not contain the necessary drivers for your network adapter" message when trying to install Winxp, win2k3 on a virtual server

I installed the .sys and .inf drivers from binl menu, and also checked my tftp win2k3_sys folder to be sure that the driver is in there
