This is great information. One question, I own Acronis disk director and would like to use it but where did the acronis-ddr-net1.IMA file come from?

Actually I created that file…
It is now a deprecated method of getting acronis to PXE by making it create rescue floppies and then merging them into one humongous floppy image…

This is no longer necessary as the kernel + initrd method used for "acronis true image" should work just fine..

Thanks for the tip. I got it working by copying the acronis disk director folder from program files on the machine it is installed on to diskd in the ftproot folder of the UDA server and adding this label to the default file.

label diskd
kernel diskd\kernel.dat
append initrd=diskd\ramdisk.dat /s vga=788 ramdisk_size=32768 quiet mbrcrcs=on acpi=off

Hi guys,

Just wanted to add some of the ones I have working to this thread, as It's been a big help to me, hopefully someone else will get help from this.

On my UDA I have all the manually added stuff in a folder called manual in tftproot

instead of editing th default file alot, I instead point to a template in the templates folder

I just found this easier for configuration changes.

For example, for Memtest in the default file I have:

label Memtest
MENU LABEL Memtest
MENU PASSWD
KERNEL menu.c32
APPEND pxelinux.cfg/graphics.conf pxelinux.cfg/templates/Memtest.menu

eg templates/Memtest.menu would be below

MENU TITLE Template Memtest
DEFAULT default
TIMEOUT 1
LABEL default
MENU LABEL default
KERNEL memdisk
APPEND initrd=manual/Memtest/MEMTEST.img

PXEKnife
MENU TITLE Template PXEKnife
DEFAULT default
TIMEOUT 1
LABEL default
MENU LABEL ^K = PXE Knife Diagnostic Tools
KERNEL manual/PXEKnife/menu.c32
APPEND manual/PXEKnife/pxeknife/pxeknife.conf

Seagate Seatools
MENU TITLE Template Seatools
DEFAULT default
TIMEOUT 1
LABEL default
MENU LABEL default
KERNEL memdisk
APPEND initrd=manual/SeaTools/SEATOOLS.img

Thinstation
MENU TITLE Template RDP
DEFAULT default
TIMEOUT 1
LABEL default
MENU LABEL default
KERNEL manual/Thinstation/vmlinuz
APPEND ramdisk_blocksize=4096 initrd=manual/Thinstation/initrd root=/dev/ram0 ramdisk_size=524288 console=ttyS3
ipappend

Cheers

I cannot get a networked machine to boot using PXE. I just finished a fresh install of all components on 2003 server. What am I missing?
