Realtek 8111C chips (10/100/1000 Mbit) On Board GA-EP45-DS3L

Postby icehacker » Sat Apr 25, 2009 9:21 am

Hi i have been using UDA for quiet some time now but came across this new issue

MB:- Gigabyte GA-Ep45-DS3L
Onboard LAN:- Realtek 8111C chips (10/100/1000 Mbit)
DEV ID:- PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_E0001458&REV_02

Problem:- "the operating system you selected could not find the network drivers....."

i found that what request is coming for blin server is PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_E0001458 and the driver inf file only has PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_E0001458&REV_01 .

How can i edit the inf file so my drives get loaded

ok i think i fixed it all you have to do is add a line in the "Netrtle.inf" file

Code: Select all
%RTL8168C.DeviceDesc%   = RTL8168CForceGigabitx.ndi,    PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_E0001458 ;Gigabyte

i have uploaded my drivers here in caseanyone needs them

Code: Select all
http://rapidshare.com/files/225907228/Realtek_8111C_EP45-DS3L_UDA.rar

Hi,

I am trying to get a Dell Vostro 1510 to work

It has the Realtek 8111B/8111C Gigabit Ethernet Controller

It has a Device ID of PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_02731028&REV_02

Where do I need to add the line to the file? netrle.inf file

Here are the Logs.

I added some drivers and I now have this appearing in the Database

PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_02731028&REV_02 NoDesc 132 RTLE8023xp 5 netrtle.inf DRIVER.ALT/Rtenicxp.sys

However I still get the message:

"The operating system image you selected does not contain the necessary drivers for your network adapter...."

EDIT: I am wondering if this is my problem?

I had this same problem. It seemed that Intel's pack of drivers didn't actually include the correct driver. Realtek's website had 3 links to download the driver, none of which worked...

Here it is:

http://www.forked.net/Driver_XP_5742_01202010.zip.

I used this on an MSI Wind 100 Nettop (Atom 330) which has a Realtek 8111C LAN chip.

Tried this again and I had to add the middle line below (to netrtle.inf) to get it to work:

Code: Select all
;8168B Lenovo
%RTL8168.DeviceDesc%    = RTL8168Forcex.ndi,     PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_302917AA&REV_01 ;Lenovo
%RTL8168.DeviceDesc%    = RTL8168Forcex.ndi,     PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_41801462 ;Lenovo
%RTL8168.DeviceDesc%    = RTL8168Forcex.ndi,     PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_303017AA&REV_01 ;Lenovo
